Napoleon can’t seem to get himself to pick up a pencil and engage in heroic acts like he used to. Consumed by his melancholia, he tuned out the impending doom descending on the country, until a violent attack hits close to home. On that day, Amie, Napoleon’s neighbor, is killed in an insurgent attack, leaving her daughter, Justine, behind. Feeling a sense of responsibility and guilt, Napoleon reluctantly decides to protect Justine.
